The team have rounded up some of this year’s best seaside towns and even if the weather doesn’t hold up, there are plenty of cosy places to hole up with a hot chocolate in these coastal hotspots.

So where is this year’s sunniest seaside town?

A spokesperson from Park Holidays UK said: “With scenic seaside vistas, famous oysters, infamous pubs, art galleries, museums and many delightful shops, the bustling town of Whitstable is a fantastic base from which to explore the beautiful beaches of Kent.”

Situated on Kent’s north coast, Whitstable has been famous for oysters since Roman times. According to experts, the best time to eat an oyster is in any month with an ‘r’ in its name, making autumn the perfect time to try the fishy delicacy.

An easy day trip from London, Whitstable has a stony beach and a huge range of pubs and cafes to enjoy a seaside snack.
