USA captain Zach Johnson has revealed several of his team’s players are on antibiotics.
However, he is not wanting to use that as an excuse for the poor start to the tournament.
Johnson told Sky Sports: “It’s a small portion of the players but there’s some guys that have not been feeling the best. Thankfully we’ve got great medical staff.
“They’ve responded really, really well to the antibiotics. It’s sport, it’s not an excuse, let me get that straight.
“As I said in my presser over and over, Luke and his team played awesome. That’s the story of yesterday, how that team played. My concern is the response of my guys and it’s been very positive, leaders on the team. New opportunity, new day.”
